VERY pretty, Kathy! I can easily see why it isn't a 'knit night' pattern...very detailed but will make a very nice shawl when you're done. Thanks for sharing.

The sock book we talked about last night that I have is: "Getting Started Knitting Socks" by Ann Budd from Interweave Press. I like this book because it has pictures to explain things like short rows (they were new to me) and it also gives directions for the same sock in many yarn weights. I started with worsted weight and made a boot weight sock. So that I could learn the process and finish in this life time.

Thank you ladies for keeping us connected! My friend Carol really enjoyed the evening at the Meet Up and commented on how friendly and helpful everyone was.
My "tip" is to purchase a small clear plastic tackle box to keep your counters, sewing needles, safety pins and other small things in. It is a good "grab and go" box to have.
