June 27 & 28 found several of our members happily demonstrating knitting at the Waterford Historical Society’s “Log Cabin Days”. The president of the Society (and one of our members) Sally Strait encouraged us to ‘come-participate!” and we did. The weather was lovely, the location (under a nice shady pavilion and right near the river for cool breezes) helped make the days a great experience. All who participated agreed that we will definitely be back next year! There was a large skein of yarn and needles for knitting on a ‘community scarf’ which, when finished, will be donated to the Historical Society for their Fall raffle. Several young people came by to help add stitches as well as our members and June, the wool spinner who was located in our
pavilion.
